What was your first vintage with cutting Edge?
2006
What other experience do you have in the wine/restaurant industry? How did this experience set you up for success at CES?
I was the wine buyer for Jeff Rubys downtown for about 10 years. I have been in the restaurant industry for a long time.
What made you want to work for CES?
They had the best portfolio and it was a family owned company.
What was your best wine trip/experience?
Oregon. I liked that the wineries were a community and they helped each other.
What is your desert island wine?
Malmsey Madeira because it will never go bad. I can cook with it, ration it, and drink it.
What is your favorite movie?
Blade Runner. Best sci-fi movie made and I sometimes wonder if my wife is a Replicant.
If you could share a bottle of your favorite wine with any person, alive or dead, who would it be and why?
Actually I would like to have 2 at the table. Van Gogh and Stan Lee. It would be a great discussion on creativity.
What is your ideal way to spend a day off?
Building a fire in my back yard and doing nothing
What is one place in the world you would love to visit (not for wine)?
Alaska
What is your daily drinker?
Miller High Life
