What was your first vintage with Cutting Edge?
2007
What other experience do you have in the wine/restaurant industry? How did this experience set you up for success at CES?
I worked at a wine shop for 5 years in the early 90's where I started learning about wine.
What made you want to work for CES?
The 2 reasons i always say is it wasn't a huge, corporation with a ton of meetings and useless bs and also, that i don't have to sell any crappy wine.
What do you enjoy most about your job?
Sharing wine with other people, especially at dinners and such. Also, the opportunity to travel occasionally is pretty awesome.
What is the best tasting event you have ever done?
A charity event in which we opened, decanted, and served about 50 of the best wines in the world including Guigal La Landonne, Sassacaia, Hundred Acre, Diamond Creek, multiple vintages of all 5 First Growth Bordeaux, including a magnum of 1961 Chateau Margaux.
What region that you have not been to would you most like to visit?
Probably Argentina, mostly I want to see those mountains that just go straight up 10,000 feet from the plateau. I’m guessing the beautiful photos do not do it justice!
