2003
What made you want to work for CES?
The initial draw was, of course, the remarkable portfolio represented by Cutting Edge Selections.
What do you enjoy most about your job?
Without a doubt, it's the opportunity to work with a team that feels like family, and the genuine regard we have for one another. I've been tremendously lucky to have enjoyed two long term work experiences where my employers created a truly thoughtful and supportive company culture.
What is the best tasting event you have ever done?
There have been many great events, but my favorite is my Cheap Or Steep game show theme tasting, which, while educational, is a lot of fun and laughs, and engages participants in ways that help break down preconceptions about wine and wine culture.
WHAT IS YOUR IDEAL WAY TO SPEND A DAY OFF?
Sleeping in, afternoon gardening while listening to music and hanging with mom, followed by a nice long walk starting at sunset and going into the evening drinking Champagne while playing with my bandmates.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE WINE REGION AND WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT IT?
The Willamette Valley, Oregon for several reasons. First, of course, are the incredible wines produced in the region. Additionally, the environment with its cool mornings and late sunlight, fresh air and abundance of trees make it visually compelling. Finally, the people in the wine industry are incredibly friendly and down-to-earth.
