WHAT EXPERIENCE DO YOU HAVE IN THE WINE/RESTAURANT INDUSTRY AND HOW DID THIS EXPERIENCE SET YOU UP FOR SUCCESS AT CES?

I worked two years in wine/spirits retail. It opened my eyes to the expansive world of alcohol and alcohol distribution.

What Do You Enjoy Most about your job?

Interacting with vastly different and unique people everyday.

What is the best tasting event you have ever done?

My favorite tasting was after returning from a wine trip and then pouring those same wines for people, while sharing personal stories and photos that really connect the wines to that place.

What was your 'light bulb’ wine experience?

When I realized my personal passion for history, geography, and art were all enveloped in one dynamic beverage.

What is your favorite wine and food pairing?

I can’t deny it. I love off-dry Riesling with really spicy Thai food. No shame.

If you could share a bottle of your favorite wine with any person, alive or dead, who would it be and why?

Anthony Bourdain, no question. Such an amazing, yet enigmatic figure and personal inspiration of mine. 

What is one place in the world you would love to visit?

I’d love to visit Vietnam. It’s such a confluence of cultures, customs, history, and tragedy. I’d love to experience that.
